Fra le Righe is at Via Nino Martoglio 27a, in the centre of Catania, next to the Giardino Bellini and a short walk from Via Etnea. Piazza Duomo is about a 10-minute walk away.

From Fra le Righe you can easily walk to Via Etnea, Piazza Stesicoro, the Teatro Massimo Bellini, Piazza Duomo, the Pescheria fish market and the Monastero dei Benedettini, home to the University of Catania’s Department of Humanities. The house is also very close to several of the city’s main university buildings.

Catania airport is about 15 minutes away by car. You can reach us by taxi, Uber or a private transfer arranged on request. Alternatively, the airport bus stops on Via Etnea, about a 10-minute walk from the house.

Fra le Righe is not in a limited-traffic zone (ZTL). The nearby streets have blue-line parking, paid from 8:00 to 20:00 and free overnight. You can also pay with EasyPark. There is also a private paid garage about 100 metres from the house.

Fra le Righe is a lived-in home, where original artworks, books, music and objects are part of the spaces. Each of the three rooms has its own identity, and they differ in size, views and character.

Sottotesto, the largest suite, has a whirlpool bath, a walk-in shower, a sitting area and a private terrace.

Sottotesto, Contrappunto and Origami are very different from one another. On each room’s page you will find photographs, features, dimensions and the floor plan, so you can see how the space is laid out and choose the one you prefer.

Yes. You can leave your luggage before check-in or after check-out, as long as you arrange it with us in advance.

Fra le Righe is on the first floor and is served by a lift. There are three steps to reach it. The terrace can also be reached by lift; in fact, we ask our guests to use it to get there, as it is the safest route compared with the stairs. If you have particular mobility needs, contact us before booking: we can give you all the useful information about access and the most suitable room.

Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00. We agree an arrival time with each guest, so that we can welcome you in person.

Breakfast is not included in the room rate, but it is always available: you can add it to your stay and it is served on the terrace. If you have particular dietary needs, please let us know in advance.

In the evening the terrace remains available to guests. You can listen to music, have a glass of wine, play chess, watch a film or simply sit outside and enjoy the cool air.

Yes. On request we can prepare an aperitivo with bread, olives and other Sicilian products. Please let us know in advance.

Fra le Righe has the character of a home: whatever you find in the minibar is yours to enjoy and is not charged separately. In the afternoon something may be prepared to share on the terrace — pane cunzato, a freshly baked cake, some fruit or a glass of wine — for anyone who feels like stopping by.

Just ask. Fra le Righe is a lived-in home, and we are here. Whether it’s a needle and thread, a laundry, directions, a reservation or a small everyday need, we offer what we know and what we have and, whenever we can, we find a solution.

Yes. On request we can arrange a private transfer. Taxis and Uber are also available.

Yes. Children are welcome. For the little ones we can provide a cot on request.
